If you’ve recently graduated or will graduate in the next year and are currently exploring all of the options now open to you in terms of a career you may be wondering if a graduate program is right for you.

What is a graduate program?

A graduate program is a structured training program which runs alongside on the job experience provided from a graduate job. A graduate program typically lasts 2 years but can run anywhere from one to three years. Most large corporations offer graduate programmes but many SME’s also offer these schemes although on a smaller scale.

For a graduate, participating in a graduate program in an SME is likely to provide more development opportunities, more experience, more responsibility, and ultimately more impact.
